I am pleased to inform you that the EPS Annual General Meeting (AGM), Awards Presentations, Dinner and Annual Conference will be held this year at the Emergency Planning College, Easingwold, near York, where the EPS head office is co-located.
The key dates are:
Tuesday 29th September 2015: AGM, EPS Awards and Dinner
Wednesday 30th September 2015: Annual Conference
These are dates for your diary; further details will be circulated in due course by email and on the EPS website www.the-eps.org.
An organising committee will take charge of the arrangements, working closely with the EPS Yorkshire and Humber Branch.
At this stage the theme and structure of the conference has not been set, and I invite members who have any suggestions, or topics they would like covered, to write with brief details to head office on email@example.com and these will be passed to the organising committee.
An independent debrief carried out following the 2014 conference at the Birmingham NEC indicated the value of keeping some speaker space clear until nearer the time, so that we can consider emerging issues or recent major emergencies. This seems a sensible approach.
The Board of Directors and I recognise the importance of trying to match conference topics and speakers with members' expectations, so please write to us with your ideas.
