    Selection Process for EPS Directors 2015

    Dear Members

     

    I am pleased to announce that the selection process timetable and supporting documents will be placed on the EPS website today. We are seeking candidates for the roles of:

    • Finance Director

    • Membership and Development Director

     

    Job descriptions for each role, a generic person specification for the position of director, nomination forms and a detailed timetable will be posted for downloading. The documents will also be available in hard copy from head office.

     

    Mrs Sue Bagge, our manager at head office, will initially handle any questions or requests for clarification, and can be contacted on info@the-eps.org

     

    Key Dates are:

    • Friday 10th April 2015 - closing date for receipt of nomination forms at head office

    • Monday 13th April 2015 - closing date for receipt of candidates' CVs and personal statements

    • Tuesday 14th April 2015 - short-listing of candidates for interview

    • Wednesday 15th April 2015 - all candidates to be informed of outcome of short-listing process

    • Friday 17th April 2015 - members to be informed of candidates selected for interview

    • Week commencing Monday 11th May 2015 - selection panel interviews

    • Week commencing Monday 19th May 2015 - all candidates informed of outcome of selection process

    • Friday 22nd May 2015 - members informed of outcome of selection process.

    • Wednesday 17th June 2015 - new directors to attend Board of Directors meeting at head office, Easingwold.

     

    These two roles are vital to the Society's development and success, and will require personal commitment to be effective.

     

    A member may nominate any other member for one. or both roles, using the nomination form. The nominated candidate will be required to sign the nomination form to indicate that she or he is willing to accept the nomination before it is submitted.

     

    Nominated candidates will be required to submit a CV and a separate personal statement in which they should demonstrate how they meet the requirements of the role, as detailed in the job description. These two documents will be used for short-listing candidates for interview.

    An appeals procedure has been included in the selection process.

     

    The documents will be placed in the 'Resources' section of the EPS website.
