RM Results Retains ISO22301 Business Continuity Certification
30 Apr 2015

In the world of high-stakes examinations, where large volumes of sensitive data need very careful handling, the ability to provide continuity of service, even when disruptive events occur, is of paramount importance. Business continuity is something RM Results takes very seriously and our security team work hard to ensure there are robust systems in place to cope with any eventuality.
Last month, we were delighted to achieve re-certification to ISO22301, the international standard for business continuity management. The certificate is valid for three years, and during this period our offices will be subject to regular external audits by Certification Europe, its UKAS-accredited certification body.
ISO 22301 provides a best practice framework for business continuity and is designed to enable an organisation to be prepared for any type of disruption, such as a fire or flood. To gain certification an organisation must have carried out a rigorous business impact analysis and risk assessment of all its mission-critical activities. The scope of RM Results’ certificate covers all of our e-assessment and data management business streams, including product development, project management, service desk and helpdesk services, and technical operations. ISO 22301 also requires RM Results to develop, maintain and test incident management processes, ranging from denial of access to our offices to the failure of our technical environments.
Nick Reggler, our Standards and Compliance Manager, commented, “The primary objective for RM Results is to ensure that our systems and services are highly resilient in any situation. Our continuing certification to ISO 22301 reflects our ongoing commitment to identifying possible threats to business continuity and to putting in place appropriate measures that will help to maintain delivery to our customers no matter what happens"
