    Business Continuity Analyst II

    Position Summary:  The Business Continuity Analyst II provides input to the development and continual implementation of business continuity planning through risk assessments, BIA’s to planned training and testing.  Makes recommendation to improve BC/DR plans and planning; conducts appropriate BC/DR research to maintain awareness of industry developments. Partners with Delhaize America's lines of business to ensure on-time recovery and resumption in the event of a major business interruption or declared disaster. The emphasis of this position is to develop, implement and maintain enterprise-wide business continuity objectives and supporting plans/processes, consistent with Delhaize America’s business objectives.

    A good broad working knowledge of business continuity best practices; a team player with strong communications and interpersonal skills; thinks collaboratively and compellingly with people in diverse functional areas. Healthy work ethic, self-motivated, results oriented. A willingness to get the job done right, within budget and on schedule. An ability to manage multiple deadline-driven projects simultaneously. 5+ years’ experience conducting business continuity planning activities. In this position, the qualified candidate will actively deliver programs, identify firm-wide vulnerabilities and contingency planning activities, motivate, educate and coach business units in contingency planning programs as well as design and facilitate emergency response and contingency planning exercises. Good working knowledge in business continuity methodology. Ability to conduct business impact analysis, risk assessments, recommends risk mitigation efforts, and communicates the importance of sound BC practices throughout all levels of the organization. Ability to effectively interface and communicate with senior management of the corporation; works independently with little supervision. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products, PowerPoint, MS Project and database management.

     

    Compliance to Standard Practices, company policy, and Legal environment.

     

    Responsible for compliance with internal and external disaster recovery and or business continuity policies and other requirements such as SOX and PCI.

     

    Ensures the organization adheres to Delhaize policies – company policy.

     

    Compliance to policy and procedures for Delhaize America.

     

    Responsibilities:

    Work in partnership with IT, Business Units, and Business Continuity as one of the primary contact defining and coordinating disaster recovery planning and exercises. Oversee disaster recovery plan updates. With IT, help design the technological parameters of integrated and table top exercises; proactively work with IT to cultivate enhanced exercise capabilities. Capture and own IT DR related resource data; analyze the data in support of robust planning, and alignment of Business and IT expectations. Vigilantly identify, track, and drive timely acceptable resolution of gaps; be an advocate for DR planning; collaborating with IT and business for solutions, and presentation of solution analysis. Inspire program enhancements to proactively embed and maintain DR within IT project management, change release, architectural design, technical documentation, data center operations, etc.

     

    As needed, implement DR training; generate reports; create and /or maintain IT DR policies, templates, presentations, and tools; participate in designing, implementing, and analyzing business impact analyses; critically review vendor/3rd party agreements.

     

    *Currently holds a DRII or BCI certification.

    Seasoned knowledge and expertise of the principles and best practices within a technical/ professional discipline.

     

    Has in-depth expertise in theories, methodologies, and practices in own discipline and knowledge of related disciplines.

    Is skilled in more than one process or has developed deep skills in a single process
