BERKELEY -- Anticipating large attendance, officials have changed the venue of Tuesday's City Council meetings to Longfellow Middle School Auditorium, 1500 Derby St.
Normally the council meets at Old City Hall.
Tuesday's highlights include discussions about funding community agencies. Many residents have spoken out at previous meetings to protest planned cuts.
Also on the agenda is a proposal by Mayor Tom Bates and Councilwoman Lori Droste for regulations that would legalize short-term residential rentals.
The regular council meeting will begin at 7 p.m. following a special council meeting at 5:30 p.m. for an update on Berkeley's participation in 100 Resilient Cities, an initiative to build community resilience to social, economic, and physical challenges.
